Most of our clients arrive without knowing how to describe what they want.
That's not a problem — it's where the work starts.
We spend time understanding how you actually live. The mornings that need to run smoothly. The evenings that need to unwind. The rooms that hold the family together, and the corners that hold you together. Only once we understand the life the home has to hold do we begin designing the home itself.
The result is interiors that feel personal without being predictable. Considered without being cold. Beautifully layered — but always in service of how you'll use them, not how they'll photograph.
MEET NICOLA MCEWAN
Mandeville Home is led by interior designer Nicola McEwan — who has spent twenty-four years designing across hospitality, retail, workplace and residential, now focused on family homes across Hertfordshire.
The cross-sector background is where the interpretation instinct comes from. Hotels taught her how to design for how people arrive and unwind. Workplaces taught her how spaces shape behaviour. Retail taught her how the smallest details change how a room feels. All of it, quietly, now goes into the homes she creates for family life.
She's led Mandeville from Hertfordshire since 2024, working with families across Harpenden, St Albans and Radlett and beyond, who want a home that reflects who they actually are — not who a magazine thinks they should be.

For clients who want the whole thing quietly taken care of.
We handle every part of the process — from first conversation to final styling. Design, sourcing, procurement, subcontractor coordination, install. You make the decisions that matter. We make the hundred smaller ones that don't need to reach you.
Includes: interior design, space planning, joinery and bespoke furniture, FF&E sourcing and procurement, decoration and lighting coordination, warehouse consolidation, white-glove install, styling.

For clients renovating a period home or forever-home, working with their own architect and main contractor.
We work alongside your team on the base-build interior design — layout, spatial flow, materials, joinery direction — then take full ownership of the FF&E through Mandeville Home so the interiors land the way they were designed.
Includes: interior design consultancy, spatial planning input, materials and finishes direction, FF&E design, sourcing, procurement, and delivery through our warehouse and install team.
